Something different....WHY?

I have been doing real estate foreclosure and rehab in addition to tax liens for some time and I thought I had seen it all.

Have had tenants and foreclosured owners

  1. Take a sledge hammer to a cast iron bathtub.

  2. Take same sledge hammer to ceramic toilet.

  3. Pour paint on what was beautiful hardwood floors.

  4. Poison the well in a a rural home.

  5. Empty the watebed in the house in sub-zero wx in Montana,’

  6. Take the mini-blinds that were custom cut for the windows.

  7. Broken windows and smashed mirrors do not count…too routine.

8…THe list could go on and on…

However, I am currently working on rehabbing a foreclosure and can find no rhyme or reason for them BREAKING every window lock in the house. They are pot metal, not plastic, and had to be deliberately broken with pliers, plus they not cheap to replace…what is next?

I had one pull all the pansies from the front flower beds during her eviction. I guess she wanted to take them with her.

I’ve had MANY where they just take one kitchen drawer. I guess it’s the easiest way to pack small items.

The majority of foreclosures I’ve bought have a full supply of cleaning products under the kitchen sink. I should mention that most have never been used, if ya know what I mean.

We could go on all day with this stuff.

I bought a foreclosure once that previous owner had drilled a small hole into the main drain coming from 2nd floor, took a while to get that one located.
