In my neck of the woods (NJ) things aren’t that bad where banks are just giving it away … I am not seeing anything like 50%. I, of course, wouldn’t know about FL.
If you’re playing the shortsale game just know your exit strategy. Just make your offers low enough so you can make a buck, but don’t try to be greedy either. With time and experience you’ll know what you can get away with and with whom.
I havent done any short sales yet this year. I"m worried that even if i tried and the bank excepts 80% i still couldnt sell the Florida market is that bad, let alone sell and make a profit. if i could get 50cents on the dollar maybe? Is anyone getting 50cents on the dollar yet? what banks are discounting themost?
