You need to find a financial advisor FAST. (not a lawyer and not a CPA unless they also have a securities license). Ask around your area for referrals, don’t just call blindly. Your girlfriend will have a nice start on a nest egg and you don’t want to blow it. Tell your advisor you want to invest a significant portion in real estate and let them advise you from there. I would like some ideas on how to invest approx. a million dollars, my girlfriend will be getting a settlement soon and I will finally be able to invest more easily in re. The lawyer suggest a “trust fund”, Can I buy investment prop. out of it? Are there other place to hide the money and be able to invest it in other avenues?
