If you have read “Nothing Down”, I’d skip Sheet’s course and buy something a little bit more detailed. LeGrand or Bronchick’s courses offered here would be money better spent. Just my 2 cents.

This site is great. I have spent about 12 hours since Wednesday reading over the advice and ideas behind REI! I am 26 with wife and child, no savings, not even a bank account, no credit history and am stuck in the 9-5 grind. Read Robert Allens book Nothing Down and also Nickersons No Risk Way to Real Estate… also i started a Tyler Hicks book…I need to have some kind of solid outline of what I do to get started. Should i invest in a course like Sheets? Or just start by the seat of my pants. (if you can’t tell I have no experience in real estate, I have never bought any property at all) I am real green behind the ears!! Any advice is greatly appreciated. And if there is anyone in the portland oregon area who would like some help in exchange for some education that would be great.
Thanks for the great site and postings!!!

Jason,

Where in Oregon do you live?
