Has any one had much experience with buying land and subdividing it into 3 or 5 acre tracts for Mobile Homes. This can be very profitable by doing owner financing. Many times the development costs are minimal if you are out in the country. We have been doing it since 1994 on a real part time basis. I hadn’t seen any mention of this on the message board. I met a realtor from Tex. about 18 months ago who said he was buying 20-30 acre tracts, subdividing into 2-3 acre sites, putting new DWs on them selling them with FHA financing and making about 15k per. He had a couple of partners and said they were doing about 10-12 units per year part time.
