Jim:
Do you know what needs to be done to change the designation from a 61-A to develop residential homes? Is it difficult and time-consuming?
Thanks again.

61-A Designation - Posted by Steve (MA)

I recently received a call from a homeowner who is selling a 2 family home on 40 acres of land that is designated by the town as ‘61-A’.
Can someone explain to me what this designation means?
Thanks for the help

steve,
can’t give you all the specifics but generally its indicative that for tax purposes the land has been designated for agricultural purposes. I just looked at 17 acres that had the same designation it must be undone for development of the land for other purposes.
