Get the loan officer to write a letter saying the repeated credit checks were done evaluating only one loan multiple times then do a rapid rescore.

A loan officer has checked my credit history without my authorization a few times, once with a wrong name, and that has reduced my FICO from 716, to about 684 points. I took a loan for 11K from MBNA with 0% for 6m, which might have helped bringing the FICO to that level. Now I want to refi my condo and looks like I have to pay higher rate because of the credit checks, and the credit card loan (which I was lied to won’t affect my FICO). How do i fight the unauthorized checks on my credit?

Send me an email to this address pls. The upper one will not work. Thanks!

Are you sure the pulls weren’t AR inquiries? Account review inquiries are counted as “soft” inquiries and are not factored into scoring. If the credit card loan on the other hand is showing as 11k high credit and an 11k balance, it looks like 100% utilization and will play havoc with your scores.

If you don’t get an answer here… you might try creditnet.com
I have read some good advice there… So give it a shot.
