Hopefully you have other real estate experience and/or the ability to ‘weather the storm’ of time after laying out a good amount of cash. Rehabbing can be very profitable, but cost overruns and unforeseen problems (bad/unreliable contractors, holding costs, downturning markets) can really be a pain in HNB (Hip National Bank).

Having said that, target your market. That may mean the local pennysaver or whatever. Also post flyers in laundromats and bandit signs in neighborhoods. Try the old standby “I buy houses. Fast cash, quick close. Any area, any condition” or “I buy UGLY houses.”…etc.

I am going to run some type of ad this weekend to attract investors. I am starting into the rehab houses business for resell. Does anyone have any good tips on how I could word my ad so I will get some interested callers??
