Dont’ know that she can’t, but yes it’s true most agents won’t list if they don’t deal with the owner. They are opening themselves up for spending money and gettting NO deal or commission if they do. It’s probably OK to do if the agent KNOWS and TRUSTS you and understands what you are doing, and feels comfortable that there will be a real deal and that they will get paid! So just curious, why do you need an agent to sell this???

Just got off the phone with a realtor who stated that since I am not legally the owner of said property, she cannot list a property that I have under contract. Due to some papers thatmust be signed by owners, I cannot sign the papers. She also stated that she’s never done a double closing and that she would have to consult her legal advisor. Has anyone ever run into this situation before?
