I found a book that is a keeper for anyone in this business, “All about Escrow & Real Estate Closings” by Sandy Gadow.
While I have not finished reading it, it covers things in greater detail that are only casually mentioned in most of the courses such as: Opening escrow, choosing escrow agents, title searches, title insurance, closing statements, etc. Heck, it even talks about “creative deals”!
It is the only book I’ve seen that goes through those areas in greater detail but in an easy-to-read format. It even has some cartoons to make it more understandable. Best of all, this book is inexpensive! $16.95 list! Easily 20% off through the Internet bookstores.
