I found a property listed at 50k - in the remarks section it said “special financing available to owner occupant, call for details” - when I called the listing agent she confirmed the price of 50k and described the “special financing” as such: if you are a qualified low income owner occupant you can buy this house for 50k if not the price is 80k !! It is my understanding that if I submit a full price offer they can NOT discriminate based on my financial status thus making this a fraudulent offer and therefore MUST sell the property at the listed price. True or False?
If the listing had been the other way around it would be legal.
