Hello:
My husband and I are just getting started in real estate investment and we’ve put flyers around to homes in our town that have been marked for improvement, in essence shape up or ship out. We live in a very activist, Washington, DC area neighborhood that has won awards for (sub-)urban renewal. They take control over abandoned, neglected or HUD homes and sell them for big profits and we want our piece of that.
We also put an ad in our local paper. We got plenty of calls, but almost every one of them was for condos. We think condos might be hard to re-sell. Does anyone have any experience of them?
Also, is there any season for real estate investing? We’re heading into the holidays and winter here in DC. Can this business be active year round?
