Yes, mobile homes are clearly goods (when not attached to land) under the UCC.

For Lonnie deal MH investors: Do we need to comply with any part of our state’s version of the UCC Article 2 (Sale of Goods)? The security interest is the contract that says you retake the MH if they fail to pay, right. What about filing a financing statement to perfect??? Are we subject to the UCC??? Ugh…

As a fincancing statement, just file the loan agreement itself. Complying with UCC is REALLY easy and covers your, uh, posterior!
