attorney - Posted by steve-o

I emailed a local attorney and explained I wanted someone to look over my documents (forms). He emailed this back.

" I will need a written retainer agreement estabishing what I will charge for my services and your agreement to pay those charges."

Is this normal?

Did you not know that attorneys work for free??
Would you invest in RE without at least thinking you would make money on the deal? Then why do so many investors think that ATTORNEYS should do their work for free or extremely cheaply? Remember the attorney has the license, and runs the risk of losing it.
Get real and pay your attorneys.
