You don’t need a special legal form to do so.
But, I would not “just write this down”.
Have them fill out a printed form. I think it helps
to be professional looking when dealing with banks.

I want to buy a property from a person in debt. He will declare a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. He want to sell the house to me and save himself from the mortgage. I want to contact with the his bank on his behalf. I believe they call that document authorization to release. Can I just write this down and make him sign or I have to fill a special legal form to do it. Is there anywhere on web that can provide me a sample of this form and a sample of a sale contract.
