What they are looking for is the chain of Title, not the financing. A lot of fraud has happened because of “straw” buyers and crooked investors etc. If you are buying “subject to”, you or your Corp. is on the Deed as new owners. A Title search will see the mortgage that has to be paid off.

In the lending business, if I buy a property subject to existing loans and hold it for a year or more, does this eliminate the seasoning issue or do they want me to have a loan in my name or my companies name to avoid the seasoning issue?
