It is probably just doing away with the Nations Credit name as the article just appeared this past weekend in the real estate papes of most major newspapers across the country as a major ‘news’ item. If in doubt, call the number for BofA listed in the article.

Bank of America plans to provide more than $1 billion in mortgage money to purchasers with no formal credit histories and as little as $500 in down payment cash on hand.

Here is a link to an article on new B of A mortgage program available for people with little or no credit and minimum downpayments for owner-occupied properties. This would seem ideal for people doing lease options to get their T/B’s in a position to exercise the option and purchase.

B of A has been doing their mortgages through Nations Credit. We were just informed by Nations Credit that they were doing away with the whole department and that they were not going to do these “easy loans” any more. Maybe they are just doing away with the Nations Credit name.
