Unless the banks have written authorization from the borrowers to disclose their untimely payments, the banks, (and presumably your partner) are violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act and probably other federal laws.

My partner has several contacts in different banks who would be willing to funnel leads of people who are behind in their payments. These people would then be approached with buying offers. I’m just wondering if we would be violating any laws? Any comments appreciated.
