I would stick with lower priced homes until you get more experience. Higher priced homes don’t have a good a market. They can take forever to sell. This house might go quick but there is a lot more risk.

Hi! I looked at a house that’s worth 550,000 after it’s fixed up. It needs about 20,000 repairs. The owner is getting divorced. I have know idea what the existing mortgage is because the realtor doesn’t want to ask. Any suggestions for a creative offer?

I would also consider using a different Realtor. You want one that will work for you or at least with you better. I’ve went through several Realtors because they couldn’t think outside the box. Now I’ve got one that is at least willing to listen to my ideas. If this isnt the Realtor you’re using and it’s the sellers Realtor, then it may be hard to use a creative technique if you cant even find out what is owed on the property. You need to know what the sellers wants are to determine if he’s a motivated seller.
