Not all companies write insurance in all parts of the country, and the ONLY way to shop is to have your agent shop for you. He/she knows who’s writing ins. in your area. And has every reason to get you the best deal possible…after all, they want your future business, so want to keep you a happy camper.

Check around your area for an independent insurance broker.
They should be able to shop you for better rates.
I use one, and lately, have had decent luck with a company called, “Capital preferred”.
Now, I’ll admit, no claims yet, thank goodness, so we shall hopefully never have to see how well they perform.
But, the rates are decent, and they don’t ever question how I want things set up…ie: land trusts with, rental dwelling fire and hazard insurance policies etc.
They get the job done for me in 48 hours usually, and coverage is in place.
A nice local office, and we are also able to set up an EFT payment plan on their products.
I like that, makes accounting a little easier sometimes.
