I do it all the time, and see no ethics problem as long as your agent shows it to you.

It builds good will between you and your buyers broker, and they will be more likly to bring more deals to you.

Buyer broker in or not? - Posted by marcello

I have an agent who I trust very highly and has helped me in the past. I recently found a property listed with another broker and I am wondering if it is normal for me to bring my broker in on this deal just to make sure I am taken care of. Basically, my agent had nothing to do with me finding this listing, but I figure since he will only be breaking up the commision that will already have to be paid, it can only help me. However, this will be taking commision from the listing broker and I wondered if this was unethical.

Thanks for all your help (past and present).

I do it all the time. Assuming the listing agent did not introduce you to the property, call up your agent and ask him if he wants to make 3% as a project manager.
