is it possible to safely purchase land from a private seller on my own, or should I have an agent/ lawyer involved in the transaction. How about searching for title, deed restrictions, leins, or easments on the property? I just dont know where to begin. any advice would be appreciated.

You do not need an agent, but you should ALWAYS have a real estate attorney involved.

we’ve bought lots of land, I would not buy without title search and title insurance. That can be done through a title company or an attorney.
