CA HCD dealer description Part 2 ???? - Posted by Lisa in Oz

Lisa,

I just went through this process and there are other ways to qualify to become a dealer. Being a salesperson for two years is one way to qualify but you can also qualify with 0 years experience if you have a 4 year degree at an accredited university.

There is a whole list of qualification requirements that should be included with your dealer packet. If you are having a problem getting through to HCD you can try calling this number (916) 323-9803 and ask for Arlene. She is located in Sacramento and was extremely helpful when I was getting my dealer license.

Feel free to email me if you have any other questions about this because this is all fresh in my mind

Good Luck

Brian

Sorry about the tread.

I’ve just scrolled down the HCD page a bit further and have just been informed that in order to get a dealer’s license, I must have held a salesperson’s license for two out of the last five years.

It’ll take me five years just to get through on the phone!

When will the madness end?!
