… Glad to see you entered the electronic age.
Actually, I think you would accomplish more using Elwood tables as most people with the ultimate calculator or computer. (that’s a compliment).

Calculator: TI BAII Plus or HP 17BII? - Posted by RussTX

I’m just getting started in paper, but I’m on a serious upward learning curve. I presently own a TI BAII Plus, that I like, but most of the calculator comments here are about the HP’s. Will the TI work just as well, or should I get an HP? I have John’s materials and am going to his boot camp in July. I do not want to get there and be at a disadvantage if the standard is the HP.
Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Russ

I’ve burned up many a TI in my early days. I know the calculator well. There is no legitmate comparison other than to save a couple bucks.
The HP17 or HP19 are by far the better choice. The simplicity and ease of these calculators as well as the advanced uneven cash flow features are a VERY big asset.

Thank you for the information on the calculator. I do not want to cut corners just to save a buck - getting an HP17 tomorrow.
Thanks,
Russ
