Most builder contracts have automatic extensions of the closing date, due to inclimate weather, acts of God,etc. It will indicate this clearly in the contract. Check your contract.

We need help. We are having a house built and the builder can not meet the set closing date 8-29-03. They have not given us a new closing date and we have found a house that can close by the original closing date. Does the builder have to let us out of the original contract because they can not meet the closing date? They have also not given us any indication of a new closing date.
