See, it was the sum total of several conversations with people on a subject that I specifically wanted info on that spurred me into action.
For any Newbies out there, that is how it works best for me. I go wanting to learn certain things. In this case, about section 8 rentals as a way to improve cash flow of my portfolio. I asked HR and many others and got that info and more than that, got excited to really try it. Then, wnet back home and learned more from the local Section 8 office and actually did it. That is the convention at its best.
I am really looking forward to the convention this year. I already have my list of old buds to search out, as well as a list of new faces I hope to have the pleasure of meeting. And then there’s always the new acquaintances made by chance; those are great, too.
Man o man; I can’t wait. Heck, I may even go listen to a speaker this year! LOL.

Hey Hal,
If I buy you a beverage of your choice maybe we can chat a little bit.
I’m having a bit of a tough time trying to get some offers accepted.
I don’t know if it’s my numbers or just the numbers game?
I hope you and I can talk awhile at the convention.
We’ll see you then,

Last years info obtained from you and other seasoned section 8 investors changed my mind on the subject and I set a goal to try some. Now I have 5 and counting! That money will pay for this years convention and the beers I owe you for the advice. See you there.
Jeff, is your clearly better half attending too? - Posted by DaveD (WI)

Jeff, haven’t heard from you in a while. Look forward to seeing you (along with Hal and everyone else). See you at the airport, if you are flying the same airline as last time.
A couple beers and maybe a bit of fries or two, and I’m all ears. I’m interested in hearing about your experiences this last year. I remember our conversation last year. Till then,

Hi Dave,
I agree,long time no hear.
I was thinking about you and wondering if you were going this year.
I’ll be on Midwest Express Flt.121 leaving at 8:10am.
My wife unfortunately is having carpal tunnel surgery
this Friday and will still be home recovering.
She has some follow up appointments with her Doctor on the 25th,the day of my return.
So I guess you may be stuck being entertained by her lesser half.(lol)
Dave, since I’m alone this time would you mind if I shadow you at the convention?
I may be able to learn alot just listening to your conversations with others.
Let me know what you think.
It’s great to hear from you again.
See you at the airport,
Jeff
