I own a home on 80 acres and am about to sell two lots. Do I have to pay capital gains on the money I make on those two lots? I have a mortgage on the house and property, can I use this money to pay off the mortgage and does this allow me to avoid capital gains? I have lived in my home and on the property for over two years. Thanks in advance.
