what would you do with the 60k otherwise?
can you afford the extra 60k mortgage?
why would you put money in a bank, invest it man?
if you can’t find a better place for 60k than say a 4% CD, give me a call I could invest it tommorrow.

I’M THINKING OF SELLING MY HOME AND PURCHASING ANOTHER IN THE SAME TOWN. I HAVE ABOUT 60,000 IN EQUITY IN MY CURRENT HOME. WOULD I BE BETTER OFF TO PUT THAT IN THE BANK AND TAKE AN EXCLUSION OR PUT THE EQUITY DOWN ON THE HOUSE WE ARE GOING TO BUY?
