Even if you got through to the collection agency they have no authority to sell you anything or give you any info. Household is their client and Household will make all the decisions.

I went to Household Finance to find out information about their loan programs. While I was there I ask what did they do with loans that had gone bad. He said they turn them over to a collection agency in Chicago. Iasked could I have the number to the collection dept. He said that the number was classified and I couldn’t have it. What is he talking about? Surely, I should be able to get the number to the collection dept. Did I approach him wrong. Does any one know the number in Chicago. Has anyone had any success in buying default loans? Thanks
