“Comps” are comparables. Basically, they are houses that are comparable to the specific house you are interested in buying or selling. By analyzing these “comps”, you can more accurately determine the fair market value of the house you are interested in.

Would like to add one more item on comps.
Comps/comparibles for houses within a certain neighborhood. You could be comparing apples to oranges if you compare similar houses in different neighborhoods.
