“ByeMelissa.doc” is a free download from the ZDNet Software Library. This program scans for the virus and fixes problems it caused. Download at:

Just a note to be careful of a couple things. You may have heard about the “Melissa” virus the last couple of days and you should protect yourself if you use “Word” and “Outlook”.
There has also been a virus going around among this website called “Happy99.exe” that is an email attachment. I don’t open attachments, so it didn’t hit me, but it did mess up a friend’s computers.
The third was on a disk we received from “Ernest Tew”. It may have just been the disk and was caught by our protection software, but you should be wary. Ernest knew nothing about the virus and I’m sure had nothing to do with it. Just check it out if you received his software.
