No trouble? it?s not against the law to send a letter or even call the owner, if a sale takes place as a result of direct efforts of the broker within a stated time period after the listing expires the seller may be obligated to the broker for the commission even if the broker did not sell it. Check the sellers listing agreement (if you can).

Should you send a letter to a property owner that has listed with a broker stating that you would be interested in buying or leasing their property if it doesn’t sell with the realtor? Can you get in trouble doing this?
