Patrick,
The only thing I put in my contract is they can’t move it without prior written permission, they can’t rent or lease to a third party, and there can’t be a second lien. If they decide they want out later, we can negotiate or they can sell it, I don’t sweat over which. They can only sell it if they pay it off.

contract for deed, sell before end of term - Posted by Patrick

I am selling my 1970 DW contract for deed. The buyers want to know how it would work if 2-3 yrs down the road they decide to move? It would seem to be less messy if we put in the current contract that if the buyers move before the end of the contract term, then the house would revert back to us and, provided they were all current on lot rent and monthly payments, they would be free to go, and I could sell the home again. Can I do that?
…Or…
should we have a stipulation in the current contract that if the buyer decides to sell in a few years, that we would have to approve of the new buyer, since the title would still be in our name?
Any thoughts would be appreciated. I’v never done this before.
Thanks
Patrick
