I’ve been receiveing a lot of email requests for Convention
info. Here’s a reply I just sent to Brad:
I will be posting complete details at the end of the week, but let me answer a
few questions. Our Convention is unlike any other convention around, because
it’s more like a “family reunion.” Soooo many of our visitors already feel like
they “know” each other from the News Groups and Chat Room. The energy
is absolutely incredible. Everyone is there to offer help and friendship. You
won’t believe it until you see it, Brad.
Our format is to offer 3 different speakers each day. The speakers give a
2 to 2 1/2 hour educational talk. This year, our lead-off speaker is Roger
Dawson, who is famous for teaching negotiations skills.
On Friday evening, we have a dinner (at no extra cost), and announce
our “Blue Vase Award.” This is an award we give to a person who has
overcome major obstacles to achieve success. It is very, very inspiring
for everyone. The rest of Friday evening is spent doing everyone’s
favorite thing – networking with each other.
On Saturday evening, we have the “Round Table” discussions. That’s where
mostly all of our speakers, plus additional experts, are available to answer
all your questions. This is also a major hit. We schedule 2 hours, but it
usually goes on until midnight!
Each morning, we have a big buffet breakfast (no charge). Everyone also
enjoys this – more time to meet new people and to network.
We wrap it all up by about 6 PM Sunday. But a lot of folks stay over on
Sunday night to continue the merriment.
While I have not yet “finalized” the price of admission. I’m sure it won’t
be any higher than it was last year. Last year it was $595. That includes
3 nights in the hotel (a very nice Marriott), 3 breakfasts, and the Friday
night dinner. Spouses/Partners (who share the same room) get a major
The hotel is less than 5 minutes from the airport, and there’s a free shuttle.
So your only other cost will be for lunch and one or two dinners.
Another highlight of the Convention is that GREAT investors like Jim Piper
and Phil Fernandez and Steve Cook (former Blue Vase Award winner) and
Merle and Pat Woolley, and many others whose names you may know from
the News Group will also be with us.
This is a great event, Brad. Many, many people have told us it’s "life-changing."
We look forward to meeting you in person!
