I am having a hard time in finding a company in North Carolina to move a double wide. The only one I found is charching me $8500, and I think that is too much. The distance is 22 miles. Can somebody recommend me a company that can give me a more reasonable price?

Just curious on what people are paying to move a doublewide from one park to another. This would include permits, setup and hook up electric, A.C., and plumbing. We are looking to move a dblewide about 20 miles and the quotes we are getting are $14-15k. This is our first move of a home. I knew it would be expensive here in S. Florida, but I think 15K is way off. Thanks for your time.

Tie down requirements have changed. If the current tie downs don’t meet code, that could well be the reason for the high quotes.

For the same services as Trailermonkey specified, we average about $5k here in Arkansas. Main difference seems to be the “water/sewer hookup”; about $200 here.

tear down, disconnect utilities, delivery and reset= $2500.00. Reconnect electric=$750.00. A/C reconnect=$385.00 Trim out doublewide $550.00($750.00 if viynl siding). Reconnect water and sewer= $1000. Skirting=700. Total relocation expence should not exceed $5885.00. Hope this helps. These are Texas prices.
