The following costs MAY be applicable to your transacion. However some may or not be specific to your note deal;

Title insurance premium (varys state to state, recording fees (typically based upon # of pages being recorded), A closing or escrow fee to take in funds and disburse them (often $100-$200), A property appraisal (residential $250 -$400, commerical $500 -$1,500), actual document preparation (for deeds, or assignments, etc., typically $50.00 per document, legal fees to represent your interest’s (vary with Fee Attorneys Schedule)

If you decide to purchase a note that’s “old and cold” how much would you expect to need to pay in terms of having the paperwork prepared, recorded, etc.
