How do you go about checking the credit on buyers if you are doing a seller financed or L/O deal if you are not a member of some credit organization? Are there webb sites that are worthwhile? Any ideas appreciated.

You could try Northland Services. $9.00 per credit report. They have a toll free number, but I don’t have it. Call (816) 741-9292. Speak to Richard.

Join a credit bureau. I joined one a while back. All it takes is signing their member agreement and a $25 application and you are in business. They set up my account within 3 days of receiving my application. If you are in any major or medium size city there should be a local credit bureau in the phone book.

Your rate is way too high. Credit checks can be done for $10 or less in most cases.
