Hi Tom,
Your creditors usually report to all three reporting companies on a monthly basis sometimes this is not always the case and mistakes happen. Once you have paid off the debts the information reflecting zero balance should appear 60-90 days that is why you need to keep detaied records of all transactions. When you make the last payment or pay the balance write a note to the creditor and the reporting companies saying you want this account information updated to show zero balances, send the information certified return receipt requested. This action will not speed up the process but should get the information reported correctly.
