Does anyone know if a buyer legally has to disclose to a seller that their relative is a real estate agent? I am in Illinois and did not use this relative as she lives too far away.

You would only have to disclose this if they are involved in the transaction. If you are not using them, then who you talk to about your business is your business and does not involve the other party.
