What is your opinion on the federal “Do Not Call” list and the effect that it will have on real estate investors.
Obviously,if the property is on the market then the owner can be contacted. But what about calling property owners who are not actively marketing their property? I.E. Preforeclosures found through the LIS PENDENS list at the courthouse or Out-of-State owners found through the tax rolls.
I saw an article today that stated that Realtor cold calls are prohibited under the new rules.
I cross posted this same question on the legal forum to see what the attorneys thought.
You missed an amazing long discourse here on that very subject about a week ago. I really don’t know how to find it now that it’s rolled off the board. Maybe a CRE Guru knows the ticket. It was either this board or the legal one.
