Does a Comp data base exist? - Posted by Jeremy

I just did a comparison with my home using Yahoo’s data and a one month old Sitex report. Just looking at the comps in July Yahoo showed one sale while Sitex contained four. I will stick with my paid services due to the quality. Free is very nice but very seldom is it comprehensive.

I tried out Sitex because some local appraisers and Brokers doing BPO’s use this data. I tried it and liked it. It also provides me with the Assessment information on the 15 closest properties. Along with EPA related information. Sometimes this additional information is useful.

The price is small when looking at the big picture.

I am looking to suscribe to a comp data base if there is such a thing. I am not interested in becoming a realtor just to get comps. I don’t mind paying a fee per month. if anyone knows of any can you please email me? Thanks in advance!
