effective letters to owners? - Posted by Nate
Posted by Nate on June 19, 2000 at 11:11:05:
Anyone have a sample letter they have used to get property owners interested in selling? I have identified several rundown properties and I have the owners’ name and address from tax records. My plan is to send them a letter “cold” and see if I get any response.
Does anyone have any suggestions of what I should/shouldn’t include in the letter, or examples of a letter that’s worked for you?
Thanks…

My suggestions are to keep it simple, state your interest and the nature of your business, i.e you are not a real estate agent but a investor who has interest in this property.
I always send a tear sheet for the owners to return to me if interested. The sheet usually has a place for the property information and selling price. Make sure you put either your address or phone number on the letter.
Much Success!
