Hi, all. I know from my research that a single member LLC doesn’t need an EIN if I have no employees – as far as the IRS is concerned if you’re accepting the default “sole proprietor (sp?)” status. Likewise for partnership tax status LLCs.

My question is whether or not I should file for an EIN for the LLC for other reasons that I’m not aware of?
