Like I said Tim, she has asked him to leave several times. He just shrugs it off. Changing the locks wouldnt work because she is there all the time anyway.

I have a friend who is an elderly lady, who has her son living with her. He is in his 40’s and is a druggie.

He moved in with her over a year ago saying, “Just for a couple weeks until I get my life together” Well he is still there and she thinks he is selling drugs out of his room.

She is kind of afraid of him and even goes so far as to hide her groceries so he wont eat them up. He pays no rent or anything else. He does nothing to help around the house.

My question is how to get him out. She has asked him to leave several times and he just shrugs it off.

She is in California. Would a normal unlawful detainer proceedings be the way to go?? Or is there a better way?

Thanks for any advice.

Bill,

Why doesn’t the woman ask him to leave or just change the locks on her house?
