I have been renting for 5 months now and I have never been late on my rent before this current month(March). The rent was due on the third and I paid on the fifth. Well, when I arrived home, there was a note on my door stating that I had until the 8th to vacate the property because they were taking control of it and that it was unconditional because of the late payment of rent. Is this legal? What is my recourse?
