Appraisal are good for 6 months, however you have to watch that your comps (comparisons) are no older than twelve (12) months. Both factor into whether or not the appraisal is still good. Visit www.primesource loan.com they have great info on appraisals.

Does anyone know how long an appraisal is good for according to Fannie Mae conforming guidelines. I have heard they will accept an appraisal up to 18 months old, is this accurate?
