This was either a foreclosure or a deed in leiu of foreclosure, involuntary or voluntary. Some day hopefully in the near future, HUD will sell the house.
They are in no big hurry. Bug them or a broker, the sale list is updated weekly. There were other posts on HUD yesterday that you might want to review. Good Luck and Merry Christmas
