I would just get a local attorney to handle it for me. They will know all the details.

My husband will be out of town during an upcoming closing and needs to give me a power of attorney to sign for him. We are in Florida. Does anyone know where I can get this done quickly and easily…online form or something? Also, once it’s filled out can we take it anywhere to have it notarized in order to execute it or is there something special that needs to be done? Thank you for the help.

This may sound ridiculously simple… contact the escrow company handling the closing. They should have the proper documentation and can notarize it on the spot.

Your title company should be able to handle this easily for you. He needs to go there, fill out the POA, and have them notarize it.
