i was/am always scared to buy rehabs… I have renovated apartments but have never purchased a rehab…
anyway, a building of mine had a fire. so now i have a half burnt building (one apartment in a duplex is burnt.)
so…
- outside vinyl siding is Baaad.
do i put
- stucco (styrafoam under it?)
b. brick up the front
c. vynil
- windows are shot
do i put
a. anderson windows
b. aluminum windows
c. other
is there any features that “sell” a house faster there?
like bay windows? jacuzzi? skylight? sconces in master bedroom?
also, if the neighborhood is basically a certain culture (think like a chinese or spanish or black or italian) neighbrohood, are there any special features that they like? like a certain color paint? or?
i have never done this before, hope the questions are not too off mark.
I would like to put in as little as pssible for as much as possible.

is there a thing like kelly blue book that would tell you the value of, say, a bay window over regular ones?
or stucco over brick?
or jacuzzi over regular bath?
what kinda kicthen? cieling fans? linoleium or fancy tile?
