A judgment against a home owner for jumping bail would be junior to the Deed of Trust, assuming the Deed of Trust were recorded prior to the judgment. The judgemnt wouldnt survive the sale. May be different in PA, but I doubt it.

What happens when a bank forecloses on a property that has a big judgement that survives the sale?

Example: FMV $85,000
1st. mtg $60,000 Principal, interest and penalty
Lien $45,000 (County judgement for jumping bail) Still a fugitive.

Is the bank destined to take a big hit?
